Friendship Center
Just outside of Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

I spent the weekend kind-of camping with friends. It was exactly what I needed - to get away from the city. No computers, no cells phones - it was wonderful.

I can not begin to describe how much meat was consumed over the course of the weekend. On Sunday morning at breakfast I believe four pounds of sausage was eaten.

I’m taking a class this summer on urban redevelopment/gentrification. Every Saturday morning we have a field trip to walk around and discuss different gentrifying neighborhoods in Chicago. This week we spent a very rainy Saturday in Cabrini Green.

Embarassing moment from the trip - getting hit on by some nineteen year old kids who were hanging out in front of this building. In front of my entire class. I was teased about it for the rest of the day.
