href="http://www.kingwoodcenter.org/" target="_blank">Kingwood Center</a>, a former mansion and 47 acres of estate gardens that was open to the public in 1953.  It is open year-round and free to the public.  This day they were having a Spring Flower Festival and the tulips were amazing.  The mansion is in the my pictures are taken while shopping.  I’ve been house hunting and prowling the stores for things I may need (or just plain want) is part of that.  I’ve always loved hardware stores.  Even though I wouldn’t have a reason to have all the different tools, just the possibilities they afford, make them fascinating to me.  That said, I do own a cordless drill (not as expensive as those) and I think in Shelby, which is about 10 miles north of where I live.  This is a little park in town.  There’s a small creek, a covered area for picnic tables and some playground equipment is off in the kitchen had been updated and there was a breakfast room off of it with lots of windows.  The owner had this beautiful cabinet along the wall.</p> <p>Like I said, a gorgeous house.  It had 3 bedrooms upstairs and this gorgeous big, old bathroom that didn’t need a thing done to it.  There was another sunny, smaller room that the owner had set up as an office.  If only old houses didn’t have I plan on buying something this summer and I wanted to get an idea of what was in Mansfield.</p> <p>This is a 1920 house and it was gorgeous inside.  It had been fixed up and had all of the fantastic period touches, cool rooms and had a lot of space.  I doubt I’d buy it as I don’t want all of the potential headaches that go with owning an old house.</p> <p>As you can see, it was sunny (and warm!)
