While leaving the city limits of Amarillo TX to drive to the canyon we went by this statue. The name of it is Ozymandiaz and the feet are supposed to be all that is left of the ‘giant of amarillo’. How a place can be that flat and in the middle of nowhere I’m still not sure. I did not think it was possible….

This is inside the canyon in Amarillo Texas. Getting to the canyon we drove by a little town named ‘Happy’. Made me wonder if they were over compensating for something….

we went hiking in the canyon in Amarillo Texas. To simulate New Mexico in the X-Files they would spray paint rocks and sand this color. However, much to my surprise, this was not spray paint.

While I was in Amarillo, TX I got to visit a canyon for the first time! The plains are actually real and they come with cacti, who knew?

Anyone is free to spray paint the cars to his/her heart’s content. One the ground you can find chips of the paint showing just how many layers have been added.

A statue in the Parc de Bruxelles outside the Palais Royale in Belgium. Really, what’s better than a park in the spring sunshine?

This is how the Cathedral de St. Michel sees the Grande Place’s steeple in Brussels, Belgium. I guess being a big church has some perks, you get a a great view.

The steeple in la Grande Place de Bruxelles, Belgium is visible from quite a distance in the city. The statue men must either have great eyes to see someone they know in there to wave at, or have gone off the anthropomorphic the-cathedral-and-I-are-friends deep end.

I think these cows have gotten used to seeing people. Although this field in La Roche Sur Yon France is off the beaten path it is a destination for runners. I can’t say much for cow breath though…

Up near the train tracks in La Roche Sur Yon, France I found a field of VERY friendly cows. Now that spring has come the area is completely green. The the cows apparently think I am their leader.

I see people walking their dogs through this tunnel. I hope the dogs don’t mind getting their feet weet since the walk way has been flooded each time I’ve walked along it. This is in La Roche Sur Yon, France. I believe this brook/rivery thing is called Ornay. The Yon (that the Rock is on in the city’s name) is on the other side of town.
