Dawn Reflections
Nudgee Beach just before sunrise. In the early 1900’s Nudgee Beach was the beachside location that locals flocked to on the weekends. It remains relatively unspoiled, with parklands and bikeways and very little development.

Nudgee Beach Panoramic
First ever attempt at a Pano stitch. Learnt afterwards that I should have taken portrait shots, not landscape. A learning for next time.

Ripples
Taken at Sunrise on Nudgee Beach, about a 15 minute drive from Brisbane city. I love the texture of the beach at low tide and the cloud reflections in what’s left of the water.

Jetty in ruin
A reminder of a colourful past. McKenzie’s Jetty was the offloading point for the island’s timber industry. Fraser Island was once a major source of timber for the region and amazingly, logging only stopped in 1991 just before World Heritage inscription in 1992.

Balls…
It amazes me how tiny little soldier crabs turn out these lovely rounded balls of sand when burrowing.

Stayed on Fraser Island recently and did a little exploring. I came across this Kingsiher sitting ontop of the only mangrove tree for miles.
